  • Attn: Customer Experience Representative Services
  • City of Kawartha Lakes, ON.
  • To whom it may concern
  • I am writing to express my interest in the Customer Experience Representative position with the City of Kawartha Lakes in the Community Services Department.
  • As a graduate of Conestoga College for Trade Techniques, I developed a skill set for prioritizing assignments while using time management while working part time fulfilling my responsibilities. In the various positions I have held in my working environment, I was able to provide customer assistance in a variety of facets ranging from in person or phone interactions, answer related business enquiries, and also being trained and operating a point-of-sale system including handling payment transactions accordingly.
  • My employment at Lindsay Axe highlighted my various capabilities in a fast-paced environment, while working in customer service on the phone or in person, by providing one on one instruction to newcomers or repeat customers, including large groups. My duties included working the cash register that involved record keeping, maintaining cash and float money, and resolving any credit or monetary discrepancies promptly.
  • Additionally, the gathering of patron’s personal information was kept confidential as it had details of the person, medical or financial disclosures. Our software programs included Microsoft Office and Google Docs calendar to maintain bookings and events. My dedication and dependability to the company allowed me to travel to alternative locations as a representative, be awarded the responsibilities of a shift supervisor which included maintaining a clean and safe work place, maintain performance equipment, also having signing authority for deliveries. Additionally, I was responsible for the coordination of three separate house leagues.
  • My experiences at Canadian Tire and Northern Casket allowed me to further develop my skills in customer service, working as a team player and independently and maintaining my WHIMIS training.
  • I believe that working for the City of Kawartha Lakes and its dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment would be a wonderful opportunity. I trust that my strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively as a team player make me a great candidate for your department.
  • Thank you for considering my application, I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to the success of Kawartha Lakes.
  • Sincerely
  • Sarah Toste
