Working in the Infant-Toddler program, I created a loving, safe environment for children aged 10mo-3yr. I included age appropriate programming with a child centered approach. An integral part of this process included building trust with families and communicating sensitive information with empathy and respect.

• Sanitized toys and play equipment each day to maintain safety and cleanliness.

Throughout the duration of my teaching with the YWCA, I developed skills in creating and implementing programming that incorporated the Early Learning Framework and supported the developmental needs of the children in my care.

In addition, I mastered important team building skills and learnt how to interact with families and build important relationships that support the learning process. These skills built on the already present ability to provide a loving and nurturing environment to our most vulnerable.
