Sarah Legault

As a writer for the McGill Journal of Economics, I produce monthly articles covering a diverse range of topics regarding current events and opinion editorials in the field of economics. I work closely with editors to ensure thought-provoking, high-quality articles that engage with the student body. In monthly writer meetings, we collaborate to establish the range of topics that will be covered that month, making sure that a wide variety of events and theory are covered.

In this summer internship in Pfizer's Legal Division, I am able to gain valuable experience in projects related to contracting, transactions, and intellectual property. I handle a plethora of projects relating to Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Consortium Agreements, and Material Transfer Agreements- as well as the review and approval of internal policy communications. I also receive mentorship from several senior legal colleagues who work to teach practical legal knowledge relating to IP and business transactions.

In this executive position at Impact Consulting Montreal Hub, I develop and execute engaging brand marketing strategies while working to lead an expansion of the company's presence onto new social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I work actively with other Impact Consulting Hubs to create and follow a clear marketing plan that is increasingly targeted to a younger audience of aspiring consultants. As head of marketing, I assist clients with their content marketing needs. To achieve this, I continually produce online content using marketing platforms like Canva and Adobe, which are published on social media as well as being used to deliver regular communications.

As a marketing operations intern, I had the enlightening opportunity to join the organization at a pivotal time. In the face of large marketing transitions, my responsibilities included onboarding agency partners into marketing platforms, answering FAQ's, facilitating meetings, and creating brand channels to allow document sharing. I am well versed in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, after using these platforms daily. During this experience I attended, spoke, and presented in meetings with senior members of the company, and was fortunate to have one-on-one mentoring sessions with many of them as well.

This summer position at Pfizer cultivated my skills in market analysis, strategy development, and networking while shadowing senior executives, providing insights applicable to future roles and enhancing my professional growth.

• July - August 2022 - Senior Counselor

I held a prominent leadership role as a senior counselor. I was a key player in planning not only activities for my group of ~15 children but also camp-wide activities for roughly 50 children. The camp-wide activities required coordination with other counselors and also in acquiring materials. I received praise from parents and camp directors for the camp-wide events I planned.
