• Serving as key leader in planning and execution of Bruce C, Bruce Power’s new build nuclear project, with responsibility for delivering defined project scope in alignment with regulatory, budgetary, and schedule requirements.
• Driving early-stage project development activities, including scope definition, risk identification, and stakeholder alignment, to establish a strong foundation for long-term project success.
• Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of engineering, procurement, and construction planning efforts, while maintaining strict adherence to nuclear quality and safety standards.
• Providing strategic guidance and project controls oversight to support governance, investment planning, and timely decision-making at the executive level.

CNL Project Services

• Providing project management support to Canadian Nuclear Laboratories in the Science & Technology (S&T) Organization.
• Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with Technical Leaders to deliver projects according to the S&T Mission on behalf of the Program Managers and Heads of Directorates.
• Planning, managing and completing multiple projects of varying complexity and risk to the full satisfaction of project customers.
• Resource planning in collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects.

OPG Project Services

• Role includes portfolio oversight, people leadership, and innovation/business development in tune with the company vision and goals.
• Projects in the portfolio have included a variety of scopes, including roofing refurbishment, various electrical upgrades within facilities and at the switchyard, and elevator modernization.
• Responsible for the Project managers assigned to the delivery of OPG Nuclear and Real Estate projects.
• Additional responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and validating forecasting accuracy;
• Ensuring schedule accuracy and proper reflection of project performance via milestone reporting,
• Ensuring all projects in the portfolio apply the appropriate risk registry with proper rankings;
• Initiate appropriate escalations within management to resolve issues or minimize risks
• Provide leadership in implementing project technical work/solutions, and initiate the acquisition of appropriate approvals, as required in support of the operation and maintenance of the facilities
• Ensure up-to-date training of staff and maintenance of qualifications required for the delivery of projects within a nuclear facility.

PMC-MCR Integration Manager for Bruce Power Project Management & Construction (PMC)

• Responsible for program management of the PMC-MCR Integration Team.
• Identified as the Single Point of Contact to provide the Interface of PMC projects within MCR.
• Core function is to work with the MCR organizations to align PMC processes, address gaps, and look for opportunities to improve; monitor project performance in adherence to procedures and milestone and hold teams accountable to meet their commitments; and facilitate communication between the MCR organization, station and PMC senior leadership on the readiness of projects during preparation, and on the performance of projects in execution.

Portfolio Manager for Bruce Power Project Management & Construction (PMC) Mechanical Program

• Responsible for the management of project management resources in the PMC Mechanical program; approximately 25 project managers and project coordinators.
• Management of staff includes ensuring the quality delivery of various scopes of work of projects of varying size and complexity in the areas of piping, valve and heat exchanger construction projects for Bruce A and Bruce B stations.
• Estimated program cost is $120M/year spanning several years.
• Additional responsibilities include:
• Coordinate each project within the program to ensure objectives are achieved
• Coordinate resources shared among the projects
• Manage risks and issues not solvable at the project level and escalated to the program level.
• Ensure benefits realization across the program and ensure each project manager receives the benefits of their respective projects that contribute to the overall benefits realization

Project Manager, Fuel Handling Portfolio

• Assigned to provide project management and delivery services for Bruce Power Project PMC Division.
• Responsible for being the single point of accountability for Fuel Handling Common projects to meet Bruce Power’s project delivery goals, including safety, scope quality, cost and schedule within project control limits.
• Assigned project scope including ball screws and jack replacement in Reactor Area Bridge (RAB), FH trolley maintenance projects, and fast-track spent resin bypass line initiative. Portfolio budget of approximately $70M.
• Assigned scopes included projects planned for execution online and during the Unit 6 Major Component Replacement (MCR) outage.
• Responsible for negotiating and integrating all functions that are required to deliver assigned projects, including preparation of investment plans, online and outage planning, and execution of design engineering, construction, contracting, procurement, environment, health & safety management, and logistics management in compliance with applicable Bruce Power procedures;
• Accountable for tracking and reporting on the status of all milestones across the cradle-to-grave process, including maintaining project schedule adherence, identifying and implementing remedial actions in correcting cost and schedule project deficiencies, managing project risk and project changes, and preparing and delivering all project reporting.

• Responsible for the functional management of over 20 Project Engineers under Managed Task Contract for Bruce Power, Project Engineering department in the PMC Division for the delivery of assigned project scope and services for various mechanical and nuclear maintenance programs such as valves, pumps & motors, heat exchangers, and piping.
• Manages day-to-day work assignments and activities, provides work direction, supervision and resolves any day-to-day staffing issues.
• Responsible for the performance management of the project engineers
• Implementing remedial actions to correct cost and schedule deficiencies.
• Preparation of reports to provide information and data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provides project engineering oversight on assigned project scopes portfolio up to $20M.

• Involved in all aspects of scoping, planning and implementing projects within the defined project work program.
• Responsibilities include the execution of tasks within the Engineering Change Control (ECC) procedures for Preliminary Engineering, Detailed Design, Installation, Commissioning and Close-out of a Permanent Modification
• Primary tasks include Constructability, Operability, Maintainability, Safety, (COMS) reviews; initiating and coordinate the modification In-Service process and project closeout activities; leading, monitoring and supporting field progress of installation and commissioning activities; and ensuring that key contributors to the project (Plant Design Engineering, Performance Engineering, Modifications, Operations, Material Management, Nuclear Safety, other) fulfill their committed obligations to the project in a quality and timely manner.
• Key Project: Fukushima Action Initiative Program – Shield Tank Overpressure Protection program for Units 1 – 4, 5, 7 and 8, comprising of executing work in both online and outage execution. Primary modification is to install a new NPS10 open vent line (34110-L101W10) on the Shield Tank to provide overpressure protection in Beyond Design Basis Accident (BDBA) scenario.

• Responsible for providing senior technical direction and project management for detailed design on drainage components of large-scale infrastructure projects with budgets greater than $5M.
• Duties include developing proposals and work plans; assigning personnel to project phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors; preparing and managing cost estimates and schedules; developing and managing project control measures to ensure successful progress or project progress; liaising and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships.

• Responsible for managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects and providing guidance to project staff during all project phases.
• Duties included planning and coordination of resources to facilitate work activities within assigned work weeks; scope change requests for respective WBS; preparation of contracts, and management of subcontractors for various work processes.

• Responsible for providing project management and leading technical input for water resource-related assignments during the pursuit and implementation phase.
• Duties included the preparation of proposals in response to RFP bids and direct assignments from public and private clients. Provide project management and technical expertise on the design of stormwater facilities for residential and commercial development; the creation and calibration of hydrologic models, hydraulic analysis, water balance studies and drainage analysis for municipal design of storm sewers and road systems.

• Responsibilities included development of proposal plan, coordinating with team to collect input, preparing time-task matrix and schedule, and other duties as required.

• Responsibilities included providing stormwater management design, Drainage and modelling analysis, and report preparation for various private land development and municipal infrastructure projects.

• Responsibilities included hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, watershed modelling using PCSWMM, model calibration, statistical precipitation analysis, discharge data analysis, stormwater design

• Responsibilities included Lake Simcoe hydrological watershed modelling and pollutant loading from point and non-point sources.

• Responsibilities included working on managed task activities; interacting with clients; and preparing technical documents mainly related to regulatory affairs of the Canadian nuclear industry.

• Employed primarily as a preschool English teacher for a large chain international English academy in Seoul, Korea

• Employed in the Radiation Safety section and the Risk Management directorate as a Summer Intern (2003-2005) and a grad trainee (2006 - 2007).
• Projects have included assessments of the decommissioning of nuclear reactors, radionuclide characterization of radioactive waste, and shielding analysis in the Radiation Safety section. Also, assisted with the creation of Health Physics procedures to be implemented company-wide. Commenced training in fault tree analysis for reactor operation and participated in typical documentation produced in the Risk Management directorate.
