As a safety officer with Seaspan Shipyeards- it is among my duties to provide medical care for injuries, preform workplace inspections, safety inspections, preform confined space rescues alongside the local fire departments, preform injury and accident investigations

• Provided advice on safe practices and procedures to all staff members.

• Provide confined space rescues
• Provide yard orientations for all new employees, yard visitors, and contractors
• Inspect and write hot-work permits
• Inspect and write confined space work permits
• Preform daily safety and equipment checks on all medical and trauma kits

As a paramedic, it is my duty to care for patients in need ranging from caring for traumatic injuries to medical related calls

• Completed necessary paperwork to document patient care and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provided emergency medical services in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and home visits.
• I work extensively alongside other agencies such as police, fire, hospital staff, and correctional services to name a few
• Provides care to any and all patients in need of medical care without prejudice

• Using specialized equipment including defibrillators and CPAP devices

• Transport patients to the hospital and continue to provide treatment for the patient while on route
• Provide hospital staff with patient information including; Condition, history, and treatment

• In accordance with BC liquor control and licensing branch, abide to the laws and regulations on ensuring no minor consuming or purchasing liquor or Tabaco
• As well as not serving intoxicated patrons

• Efficiently handled financials including; balancing registers, inventory, and collecting daily deposits.

• Responsible for the safety and medical care for all personnel on location
• Attended and conducted on site daily safety meetings to notify workers of all potential hazards on site and proved medical direction
• Effectively communicate and set up helicopter evacuation sites with local BAILEYS and STARS helicopter services
• Determine ground meeting point and transfer of care to BC Ambulance meeting crews
