At Lakeview Hecla Resort, I worked a plethora of positions in the restaurant, banquet & golf course but my most recent & most important position was that of Banquet Manager where on days with no events I also worked in the restaurant as the Floor Manager to aid the Food & Beverage Manager
As Banquet Manager, my responsibilities included creating a weekly schedule, keeping costs & labour at budget, create daily lists for my team to follow, washing laundry regularly, sitting down with the Sales & Catering Manager as well as the Chef to look over BEO's together & coordinating regularly with them, thinking quickly to solve problems & accommodate all guests needs, place weekly orders, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, disciplining team members appropriately when needed, setting up, serving & taking down events, keeping an accurate monthly inventory & keeping my department clean & organized.

As a Host & Busser my responsibilities included ensuring the dining area was clean & set prior to guests arrival, clean & reset tables after the guest's departure, welcome guests & greet them upon their departure, provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists, retain, plan & manage reservations, escort guests to dining area as well as maintain a clean reception & bathroom
After approximately a year with the company, I received a promotion, becoming a Take-Out Specialist My responsibilities in this position were taking, placing, preparing & delivering our guest's take-out & catering orders I was responsible for cashing out all servers at the end of their shifts, ensuring that all their numbers matched, the proper amount of cash was given or received by each server & balancing my own till at the end of the shift On slower shifts I was also responsible to expedite, prepare salads & cook breadsticks
I later was again promoted to train new employees on how to do the positions previously listed We were trained on how to properly train team members, which contributed to my skills & love for being a leader.
