  • Attended the History Lab, an online event hosted by the St. Paul's co-educational college in Japan. The theme of the event was, “The impact that Cold War had on your country and how is it presented in your part of the World?” Around 150 students from 27 schools & 13 countries participated in the event. There were many schools, some representing the colonial past whereas others representing the major powers at that time along with the other Third World countries.
  • Attended the Political Round Square, hosted by the Junior and Senior High School of Kogauin in Japan on 16th May 2023. The theme of the event was, “The impact that World War 2 had on your country and how is it presented in your part of the World?”Around 160 students from 30 schools & 10 countries participated in the event. All the participating students were asked to put together a short presentation of not more than 2 minutes with ONE slide per school to present during the session

WORLD LEADING SCHOOL ASSOCIATION (WLSA) WORK

  • Appointed official for the Cross Cultural Leadership Programme organized by the World Leading School Association: It is a global platform for discussing Global politics, international relations, public policies. 2023-present
  • - online CCLP mini-INDABA conducted by WLSA, an online event held on 11th February, 2023 at 7:00 IST via zoom. The main question addressed during the entirety of the session was, ‘ARE YOU A CITIZEN OF THE WORLD OR ARE YOU A CITIZEN OF THE NATION?’ Throughout the session students engaged in an interactive session with students from across the globe, including countries like the USA, Japan, South Africa and many from the Middle East. Students were put in breakout rooms where they discussed sub topics related to the theme like International Justice, International Law. The discussion also focused on the probability of establishing a common international law for all nations and the barriers associated with forming such a code of conduct.
  • - On December 3rd, participated in the World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) Conference on COP28 ACTION WEEK which coincided with the UN Climate Change Conference held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was a LIVE ON-LINE EVENT which provided a unique opportunity to 55 students from five schools to have meaningful discourse with their peers from different parts of the world. Each student was assigned a country portfolio and had to present its climate policies and suggest measures for future. Providing diverse perspectives, the students deliberated on climate change issues and proposed practical solutions to ensure future action that is respectful, inclusive, meaningful and sustainable.
  • - On the 28th of March, 2024, Mr. Owen Moelwyn Hughes, the host of the Cross-Cultural Programme (CCLP) hosted by the World Leading School Association (WLSA), delivered a talk on negotiation skills. He talked about the key themes essential for successful negotiations, ranging from understanding positions and interests to the art of preparation and the various styles of communications. One of the main focus of Mr. Hughes' talk was the critical distinction between positions and interests in negotiation in a globalizing world.
