  • Have worked in the Froth Plant at Kearl for 5 years as a field operator and then moved on to the field shift lead
  • Was responsible for overseeing day to day froth operations on the crew, carrying out shutdowns as well as the startup of the second plant on site
  • Was trained as the back-up control room operator and was responsible for the safe start up/shutdown and day to day operation of the Froth Plant
  • Responsible for the operation of the plant, working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company
  • Ran 4 consecutive shutdowns as the Kearl Lake Operations Shutdown Coordinator
  • Was responsible for long term planning and scheduling on the Operations side site wide of each Shutdown
  • Coordinated the successful shutdowns and start ups of each shutdown
  • Communicated directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas (proficient in SAP)
  • Spent 2 years as Extraction FLS(Supervisor) where I was in charge of a crew of 10 operators responsible for the day to day operation of the Extraction and Tailings areas
  • Coordinated production optimization meetings once a day to ensure maximum possible production for the Extraction plant while collaborating with Froth and OPP
