As a soph (student leader) at Western University, I have the privilege of playing an essential role in guiding first-year students as they navigate the complexities of university life. I support them in their transition from high school to university, providing advice, mentorship, and creating a welcoming environment. My responsibility extends to ensuring a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all first-year students living in residences, helping them feel at home in their new environment.

This leadership position is important not only for its impact on shaping the student experience but also because it's highly competitive. Being chosen reflects my commitment to supporting others, and I'm honored to take on this responsibility.

• Improved students'' overall academic performance by providing one-on-one tutoring in various subjects.
• Assisted students with homework assignments, ensuring timely completion and thorough understanding of concepts.
• Motivated students towards learning and studying to build self-confidence and reduce fear of failure.
• Provided homework assistance using specific curriculum and materials.

As a scout leader, I've had the opportunity to be part of several meaningful campaigns, including initiatives focused on women empowerment, women in tech, and women in finance. Through these campaigns, we've worked to help women gain financial independence and confidence in their abilities.

Being a scout has also helped me develop key skills like teamwork, time management, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which have all been invaluable in both my personal growth and leadership roles.
