- Perform commercial vehicle inspections, trailer inspections, safety inspections and out of province inspections.
- Able to safely use all shop equipment such as hydraulic hoists, alignment machine, headlight beam adjuster, tire machines and balancers, welder, presses, jack and jack stands and engine hoists.
- Perform diagnostics on vehicles and write up a repair procedure for the service writer to forward to the customer with all parts, materials and time allocation for an accurate repair estimate.
- Follow all procedures given to ensure a successful repair and test repairs. Take vehicles on test drives to ensure problem has been repaired.

- Collaborated with other tradespeople, coordinating efforts for successful task completion such as collaborating with scaffolders to build platforms, electricians to isolate electrical components and instrumentation technicians to help isolate live lines if necessary.
- Adapted quickly to new tasks or challenges within each project site environment without compromising quality or safety standards. Relocating equipment hoses and power cords, or stopping work due to confined areas with other trades or hazards such as x-ray machines or hydro/pneumatic testing of piping systems that are close to our work location.
- Prepare pipes for welding by beveling the ends, squaring the ends, measuring cut back lengths and calculating offset angles. Rigging pipes if necessary either to the structure beams or by crane to aid in fitting to pass quality control.
- Pre-commissioning: Read P&ID's and Isometric drawings to located a piping system and install flanges, spacers, valves and clean outs and torque all bolts in sequence per the ITR specifications given by the engineers and pass quality control from the employer and the client, LNG Canada
- Safe operation of power equipment such as porta-powers, cranes and rigging, hi-torque and other hand tools.
- Removing shipping brackets and installing permanent brackets for the pipe shoes using proper methods and harnesses if required.
