I have worked in the High Prairie Victim Service Office for almost 13 years. After 10 years as Program Manager I chose to take the position of Indigenous Victim Outreach Specialist where the work involved less of an administrative role and focused solely on client support.
Working with families referred through Child and Family Services. Conduct assessments, create goals and work to achieve those set goals. Document assessment findings, case notes and progress reports.
Provided assistance to people with acquired brain injury, their caregivers and family. Assessed needs for setting up goals; set up service plan for clients and monitored service provided to clients through a partnering agency.
Worked as Support Staff Aide for kids with special needs; mostly children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Worked one on one with children, implementing learning goals set out for them.
Managed the office, coordinated volunteers, organized fundraisers and workshops. Provided direct support to patients facing terminal illness. Provided support to families facing grief and loss.
