Sana Buhamra

Professor and scholar with over 25 years of experience educating undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Published over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Research interests include applied statistical modeling, health informatics, text mining, information extraction, and Survey Design and Analysis.

Appointed as a founding Dean to establish a new college at Kuwait university during 2002-2008. Responsibilities included establishing five departments with eight programs, setting long and short term strategic and facilities plans, recruiting personnel, following laboratory construction, setting college guidelines and rules, and establishing student affairs, training/ consultancy, and assessment/ accreditation units.

Contributions in Curriculum and Academic Program Development: During deanship period, I led an Executive Office to build non-traditional Outcome-Based Academic Program Models at three levels: College, General Education, and Major.
