  • Organized and hosted weekly COVID-19 testing activations during peak months of the pandemic for vulnerable and at-risk members of the LGBTQ+ community - totaling a total of 4,000 administered tests and over 1,000 immunizations.
  • Nurtured coalition growth by working alongside sister LGBTQ+ cultural districts to build more equitable and inclusive opportunities in San Francisco for disenfranchised transgender and queer individuals
  • Curated programs and initiatives that distributed roughly a quarter of a million dollars to the Castro’s LGBTQ+ community via grants, sponsorships, and subsidies for legacy businesses, entrepreneurs, and at-risk tenants.
  • Organized and co-hosted focus groups with community stakeholders to collate empirical data, testimonies, and development for Cultural History, Housing and Economic Sustainability Strategies (CHHESS) Report for the city and county of San Francisco
  • Provided timely financial reports to our advisory board, while communicating with our fiscal sponsor, the SF LGBT Center, to ensure these finances were up to date.
  • Navigated a diverse 15-member advisory board to ensure equitable collaboration and decisions impacting the Castro.

Valencia Program Manager

Shared Spaces

  • Implemented the first Shared Spaces pilot program on Valencia Street in San Francisco, a weekly 4-day-street-closure for 4 months to allow businesses to set up outside to safely serve guests.
  • Gathered community input to assess the program's efficiency, while adjusting the policies on a week-to-week basis.
  • Raised funding to hire 3 diverse staff members to help manage the Valencia closure.
  • Organized and advised other Shared Spaces programs in San Francisco to assist and provide consistency throughout all Shared Spaces.
  • Devised framework for the next phase of the Shared Space program in conjunction with various city officials and San Francisco city departments in 2020.
  • According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Valencia Shared Spaces pilot program saved 80% of businesses from permanent closure, which persuaded the city to allow our program to extend the closure from 2 to 3 blocks.
