• Conduct weekly site inspections in clean/dry rooms, wet labs, warehouses, and general office spaces, document corrective actions, and manage closure of action items via JIRA.
• Conduct all onsite training for operators of Class I, II, & III powered industrial trucks.
• Develop and maintain chemical authorization, electrical safety, contractor safety, powered industrial trucks, and warehouse safety programs.
• Complete office, industrial, and laboratory ergonomics evaluations requested via JIRA.
• Perform weekly construction walks with contractors and host monthly contractor safety meetings.
• Participate in regulatory inspections by City of San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA Dept. Of Public Health, and BAAQMD.
• Conduct root-cause investigation and implement corrective actions in response to workplace-related injuries and illnesses and report out metrics on OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs.
• Assist in the management of IH programs (hearing conservation program, radiation safety, respiratory protection) for aviation operations, server and electronics labs.
• Coordinate lab audits before regulatory agency inspections (i.e. Fire department) and support close out of action items/findings.
• Develop stormwater management procedures and oversee routine internal inspections and external regulatory agency inspections (i.e. Department of Environmental Health (DEH) and Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB).
• Develop wastewater management procedures and assist in self-monitoring requirements for environmental permit compliance.
• Conduct Hazcom inventory and Haz Waste management audits and incorporate necessary changes to Hazardous Material Business Plans (HMBP).
• Perform lab hazard risk assessments and work with the Emergency response pillar to develop emergency action plans (EAP).
• Assist in the development of procedures in the operational pillar and work cross-functionally with compliance and environmental pillars to identify gaps or ways to improve existing EHS program(s).
• Monitor injury, illness, and incident related performance and support the development and implementation of strategic solutions.

• Compliance monitoring, auditing, and reporting based on regulatory and REA requirements related to environmental permitting (air, wastewater, and hazardous waste), chemical inventory and approval, safety, ergonomic evaluations, and recycling.
• Support ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 management systems as an auditee in DQS external audits.
• Manage hazardous and e-waste profiles, communicate with waste hauler, and conduct vendor site audits.
• Emergency Response Team Site (ERT) Assistant Coordinator and conduct ERT training and participate in accident/emergency investigations (postmortems).
