Athletic Experience

  • Wilfrid Laurier University Men’s Basketball Team, 2021 - 2023, During my two years as a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s basketball team, I had the privilege of competing at the U Sports level while balancing a demanding academic schedule. As a student-athlete, I developed a high level of discipline, time management, and resilience. I participated in rigorous daily training, strategic film sessions, and regular travel for intercollegiate competition across Ontario. I contributed both on and off the court—whether it was through defensive intensity, vocal leadership in the locker room, or fostering team culture. Being part of a high-performance sports environment helped shape my ability to work under pressure, collaborate in diverse team settings, and stay composed in high-stakes scenarios. The experience reinforced my competitive mindset and commitment to excellence, qualities I now carry into my academic and professional pursuits.
  • University of Sussex, I currently play professional basketball overseas in England, competing in the National Basketball League (NBL), one of the top competitive leagues outside of the British Basketball League (BBL). The NBL has been instrumental in allowing me to grow as an athlete and develop my skills in a high-intensity, physical European basketball environment. In addition to my commitments in the NBL, I also represent my university's basketball team, competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league. This dual involvement allows me to balance academic progression with high-level competition, maintaining a rigorous training and game schedule that reflects the demands of both professional and collegiate basketball. Playing both for my university and in the NBL has sharpened my adaptability on the court, enhanced my leadership qualities, and given me international exposure—all of which are helping to shape me into a more complete player and individual.
