YMCA -YStrong girls 2018-2021

With a team of volunteers, I created an annual curriculum for YStrong Girls program at the YMCA Copley-Price. YStrong Girls program was developed to serve teenage girls ages 13-18yrs old,  to include college readiness, navigating social media, healthy behaviors for overcoming stress/depression as well as how to apply for a job, military service or technical vocations. Every Friday a group of women volunteers and myself would provide a 2hour program where girls would be fed a wholesome meal and then engage on a social topic and complimentary activity. In 3 years, we served over 250 teenagers and took them on field trips to the San Diego Zoo, surfing in La Jolla Shores and a fun trip to the theater every December for the Grinch. In 2022, the YStrong girl program received over $2.5M in funding to serve over 400 teenagers annually.
