I am nineteen years old and graduated from high school two years ago. Since then I have spent time working a normal job, been a student at a discipleship bible school and also have had the opportunity to staff and lead that same school the next year. I have had many unique and special opportunities over my nineteen years, such as living in the slums of Ethiopia with my family for nine months when I was younger, playing volleyball at a high level in Canada, working hard jobs like construction and at the chicken barns, doing missionary/volunteer work in the Amazon Jungle of Peru and in the cities of Turkey, and even starting a volleyball tournament during 2020. Through these many experiences I have learned lots of things and also developed quite a few skills. Leading the team to Turkey, I learned so much about leadership like the importance of casting vision, and how much it means to really see and serve the people on the team. Through starting my own volleyball tournament I learned organizational and planning skills, having up to 50 players come out for the tournament I would need to plan timing, handle the money for the draw, and also organize a tournament draw. Through my time working construction and at the poultry farm, I learned how to work hard and get the job done when it needed to be done; working efficiently was huge at these jobs, while also doing the job well.
