Salman Ahmadi

My expertise in all sections of GIS science such as designing and compiling spatial information standards, spatial data generation, spatial data analysis and modeling, and software development equip me to deliver innovative solutions across diverse GIS projects. I have successfully led national projects, designing and implementing GIS systems for organizations like the Iran’s electrical power company. I am capable of developing efficient workflows and digital platforms for GIS software development and satellite image processing using MATLAB and Python. My global perspective and collaborative approach enable me to communicate complex spatial concepts and mentor team members effectively. • Executive Director, Analyzing land subsidence in the Qorveh-Dehgolan Plain using remote sensing and groundwater modeling., Identified up to 20+ centimeters of current subsidence with a forecast of around 3 meters over the next decade.

• Research Project Collaborator, A Comprehensive Studies for Electrical Industry GIS (High Voltage power Networks), The first established standard for spatial data infrastructure in Iran’s electrical power industry, implemented across all 30 regional electrical power companies.
• Research Project Collaborator, Design and Development of a Spatial Database at Scales of 1:250,000 and 1:1,000,000 for TAVANIR Corp., Designed and implemented a geodatabase to manage data for over 400 high-voltage electrical power equipment across the power grid.
• Project Director, Production and Preparation of Attribute and Spatial Information for Power Substations, Managed the collection and organization of spatial and attribute data for over 30 substations in western Iran.
