  • Designed and implemented a pilot study on the effects of a prosthetic training technology, laying the foundation for a clinical trial.
  • Conducted a clinical trial with an interdisciplinary team, training individuals with upper limb loss on myoelectric control through a new training technology and evaluating their skill acquisition.
  • Collected and preprocessed eye and motion tracking data during experiments in addition to other performance metrics.
  • Troubleshot an augmented reality myoelectric training tool in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Created instructional videos and guidelines for multiple prosthetic training tasks and trained a PhD student and a research assistant to operate a prosthetic training system for future studies.
  • Co-supervised and mentored an undergraduate intern on projects related to myoelectric training tools.

Biomedical engineering intern

BeacoHealth
07.2020 - 09.2020
  • Prototyped and tested a powered hand exoskeleton inspired by existing rehabilitation technologies to help prevent post-stroke contractures.
  • Designed and 3D printed a custom case to enclose the components of a monitoring device, contributing to its transition into a commercial product now included in the company’s product line.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

University Of Malaya
12.2019 - 04.2020
  • Carried out preliminary image processing on intravascular optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans of stent struts to prepare them for analysis.
  • Conducted background research on image processing and data analysis techniques to enhance the interpretation of study data.
