I built strong relationships with community organizations to plan and oversee the development of programs to meet diverse needs, with a focus on enhancing childhood literacy. In particular:

• Recruited and managed 40 volunteers, including scheduling assignments, training, task prioritization, FOIP, and Criminal Record Checks
• Drove 10% increase in digital engagement by developing virtual programming during COVID-19 pandemic
• Spearheaded regional poetry initiative, covering marketing, logistics, partnerships, and resource planning that engaged 200+ participants annually
• Organized materials, budgets and staffing for new programs, preparing funding recommendations and evaluating donation/sponsorship requests
• Led outreach presentations and cultivated partnerships with 60+ public agencies and non-profit organizations to support and sponsor community-building events
• Trained and mentored new staff, supporting onboarding, resource-building and providing program support
• Managed department in absence of manager, providing direction to team members and liaising with other leaders
• Coordinated execution of 10+ annual events that engaged thousands of patrons, increasing library awareness, and fulfilling WBRL service goals

I planned, prepared, delivered, and evaluated inclusive programs and events for diverse ages and demographics. Of note:

• Facilitated programs at schools, daycares, youth centres, and senior homes in six rural Indigenous communities to support literacy, engagement and empowerment
• Promoted and coordinated monthly services connecting limited-mobility patrons with library resources and programs
• Designed and presented weekly language arts lessons to develop elementary school students' reading and writing skills
• Planned and led annual “Homeless Connect” event, arranging sponsorships, distributing care packages, and connecting unhoused community with local supports
• Actively built networks and partnered with presenters, exhibitors and community groups to deliver high-quality programs
• Collected and analyzed patron engagement statistics, drafting reports with recommendations to increase engagement
