Sally Bishop is a veteran professional stunt performer, stunt coordinator and actor with a background in rodeo and the circus arts. She has also written and produced short films and is currently in developing a documentary about cowgirls and ranching women.
Represented the ACTRA stunt performers in Alberta. I attended monthly meetings with ACTRA council, annual ACTRA National stunt meetings, and led quarterly stunt committee meetings of Alberta stunt coordinators. In addition I listened to and advised on any issues in the Alberta stunt community regarding stunts on set as well as ran and resolved any complications by the stunt committee.
Attended and conducted stunt meetings with department heads, producers and director. Created stunt budget and requested and executed necessary rehearsals for stunt sequences. Directed all stunt action on set.
Participated in several months of rehearsal followed by 30 performances for the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede. I was required to be an actor, roman rider, whip cracker, and trick roper as part of the large scale, daily sold out show. Went to Washington State to train to work liberty horses with world famous film and circus liberty trainer Bill Lawrence. Worked the liberty horse in the show, along with daily rigorous training.
Trained and coached a group of girls to trick ride, with weekly practices and frequent shows. prepared them with performed readiness.

I was a trick rider and cast member on the road with the world famous Cirque Equestrian show. Daily rehearsals as well as daily shows under very difficult logistical conditions. I was required to do "meet and greets" with audience members in the barns afterwards.
