  • Worked at SEEING MACHINES on telematics component validation in the functional areas of Over The Air update, Remote control, Diagnostics and remote services for VW AU MY19 and AU MY20 projects
  • Performed system level validation for sanity and smoke checks for every customer SW releases
  • Extensive Blackbox testing/SW testing related to all the applicable feature timers and events
  • Flashing software and modifications of various calibrations using INCA tool
  • Applicable for both SOC and VUC software
  • My work includes testcase design, attribute setting and end to end validation of features supported in the module
  • Effective usage of development and production servers and tools including CANoe, CANalyzer and CAN DIVA to perform validation
  • End to End validation of the features using the development servers with test methods derived from scratch using requirement analysis
  • Overnight automation of testcases to achieve the robustness
  • OVER THE AIR UPDATE:
  • Performed over the air update end to end validation of the module
  • My work focuses on requirement breakdown and testcase design including the continuous handling of test step modifications based on regular spec updates received from customer

  • Worked on multiple OTA trigger types, download processing, user initiation, termination, and acknowledgement scenarios
  • My work focuses on validating both delta and full update packages including verification of OTA status on CAN bus by the telematics module throughout the process on system bench
  • My work includes triggers, monitoring OTA voice prompts and verifying user display on the HMI during every phase of OTA, which is categorized into 5 different stages
  • Reporting the discrepancies on SW and timely verification of fixes in each SW release including report generation after every test cycle using TEMPPO tool
  • REMOTE CONTROL:
  • Validation of telematics unit between 2 controllers in performing remote control operations
  • Validate remote control operations from end-to-end basis from server to end user
  • Verification of Remote-control initiation followed by Processing the request and Event message transmission check
  • Verification of request processing between SOC and VUC to other ECU along with timing measurements between the different phases of remote-control operation
  • My job includes verification of result codes uploaded by telematics ECU to server for different failures in operation
  • Assigning issues to software team and verify the fixes accordingly before customer release of SW
  • Multiple remote-control operations include remote door lock and unlock, remote engine on and off, remote AC on and off
  • REMOTE Diagnostics:

Sending remote diagnostics request to propulsion system ECU to check trouble codes and other diagnostic acquisitions.

Applicable for both remote warning and remote DTC

  • Remote monitoring:
  • Ensuring diagnostics requests are appropriately sent by telematics ECU to respective ECU’s upon request reception
  • Handling Positive or Negative responses and bulk load responses from the ECU
  • Testing Range limit and negative test cases to ensure the validity of uploaded response based on the response received from simulation
  • Remote DTC:
  • Validating automatic DTC acquisition trigger upon its trigger conditions
  • Performing diagnostics through Telematics module to multiple ECUs in the defined order without user interpretation
  • To check the validity of responses to the requests with the trigger happened due to warning.
