Underground Miner (Oct 2024): Assisted experienced miners in day-to-day operations and learned best practices to operate heavy machinery for drilling, blasting, and material movement in compliance with safety standards.
Midterm Planner (April 2024): Modified long-term designs to achieve a 4% higher overall grade and 11% more tonnage by collaborating with geologists, using updated block design in new mine zones. Also, developed master layouts for level designs.
Short-Term Planner (July 2023): Worked on short-term plans, including but not limited to drilling, loading, mucking, and backfill prints. Optimized the average stope recovery from 93% to 95%, and reduced dilution from 15% down to under 10%.
DRILL AND BLAST EIT
Kan-Arm Contracting
Hope, Canada
06.2022 - 05.2023
Designed over 100 technical blasts for the project taking into consideration the nearby utilities and infrastructure to provide controlled vibration results
Assisted in short and long range planning to blast out the rock effectively and use the drill support provided on that site efficiently to prioritize tasks and timeline targets
Daily reports submitted to management including assessment of production, delays QA/QC documentation, post-blast reports and explosives shipment tracking
Manage multiple worksites at a time and constantly work towards improving the safety and costs of project

Projects
OPTIMIZE MINE HAULAGE ROAD DESIGN FOR REGENERATIVE POWER 09/2021 to 04/2022
Teck
Built an Excel model that helped conduct an in-depth sensitivity and risk analysis on the key performance indicators of road design on power regeneration.
The values of electrical energy obtained for Highland Valley Copper mine site were used to generate a financial analysis with and without regenerative braking technology in electric haul truck.
UNDERGROUND MINE DESIGN AND STOPE OPTIMIZATION 01/2021 to 04/2021
UBC
Created block model in Vulcan using the excel file with drill hole coordinates.
Ran Stope Optimizer for the underground block model to create the optimum stope angle, size and direction.
Designed ramps and roads that would allow for an effective extraction of ore.
Using the information from stope optimizer and the ore type calculated the CAPEX and OPEX of mine and the total profit generated over the lifetime of mine.
