With over 18 years of experience in the broadcast domain, specifically in MPEG, IPTV, CaTV, and NDI, I have a strong background in validating video compression products. I successfully handled IP video encoder conformance testing for Mediaroom 1.1, 2.0, and 2.1. As the technical point of contact for encoder vendors and Microsoft during the encoder certification process, I effectively analyzed and provided input on field video-related issues in Mediaroom deployments. Additionally, I am experienced in end-to-end IPTV testing and have a proven track record in handling video headend equipment and validating their integration with IPTV middleware, VOD, CAS, and encoders to ensure seamless end-to-end video flow. My expertise extends to video feature testing and a deep understanding of standards and protocols such as MPEG2, H.264, IGMP, IP multicast, NDI, and SMPTE2110. Furthermore, I have extensive experience in end-to-end integration for triple play services in wireline access network and CPE (customer premises equipment) testing. In my previous roles, I excelled at reviewing functional design specifications (FDS) and engineering requirement specifications (ERS), designing test plans based on FDS and ERS, as well as contributing to the technical aspects of various video-related project proposals. I am also proficient in authoring test procedures for new features and possess comprehensive knowledge of IP networking including DHCP, DNS, VLAN, TCP/IP, UDP multicast, specifically with respect to video transport.
I was awarded Customer Obsession Award at Dejero Labs for aligning the test strategy with real time field scenarios, which is a measure of my experience on the broadcast products and field deployements.
