Providing consulting support for a $2 million capital campaign to build a new, 200 seat, state-of-the-art theater in Petaluma, CA.

Development and event planning has been my focus at NAMI Sonoma County. Increasing awareness of NAMI's free services and programs being a top priority. I was hired to organize and secure individual donations and corporate sponsorships for NAMI Sonoma County's first fundraising event, NAMIWalks, on October 7, 2023. We doubled our fundraising goal, with 5 sponsors, 2 in-kind sponsors, over 200 participants, 24 teams, along with 17 corporate partners tabling to share information on their services..

Focused on increasing awareness of VLA's social justice model that is elevating academic proficiency, creating global awareness, and preparing students to be leaders and advocates for justice, equality, and opportunity for all. Accomplishments include:

• Ongoing collaboration with organizations focused on providing Chicago's at-risk youth opportunities to thrive emotionally, physically, and academically.
• Enhanced VLA's curriculum by adding a financial literacy program for 7th - 8th graders taught by Greenwood Project, an innovative nonprofit working to introduce minority high school and college students to the financial industry.
• Implemented programs supporting physical fitness and inclusive recess play.
• Identification and stewardship of like-minded individuals and organizations to engage with and support VLA's low-income students by providing tuition scholarships.
• Developed and sustained relationships with partners in education.
• Planned, organized, and executed annual fundraising gala to provide VLA student scholarships.
• Design and content creation of all marketing materials.

Designed and implemented Foundation funding structure, targeting support for nonprofit work in three areas throughout Chicago's inner-city population of underserved youth. Areas of focus were: education, childhood obesity, and mental health.

• Development and oversight of annual budget and grant allocation with ongoing evaluation of metrics and outcomes for each project/program funded.
• Provided mentoring assistance to partner organizations in the areas of: fundraising strategy and implementation; event planning; board development; strategic planning; cultivation and stewardship of new and existing donors.
• Facilitated collaborative roundtable discussions for like-minded organizations with the intention of sharing best practices, methodologies, challenges, and successes.
• Participated in local and nationwide leadership conferences and events to address the needs of at-risk marginalized youth.
• Engaged in fundraising committees for various Chicago nonprofit organizations. As the Chair of the Women's Board's Annual Appeal for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (renamed to Shirley Ryan Ability Lab), raised $435,000 with the 2014 appeal.

Developed and implemented a strategic fundraising and marketing plan with annual budget, including: oversight of grant writing, identification and cultivation of prospective donors; stewardship of all donors, with individual attention paid to major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and individual giving.

• Designed, organized, and executed 50th Anniversary Gala at San Francisco's acclaimed deYoung Museum with private access to renowned glass sculptor Dale Chihuly's sold-out exhibition.
• Planned all facets of special events: annual golf tournament - volunteer scheduling, registration, lunch, dinner, silent auction, raffle, and fund-the-need; annual donor appreciation luncheon; cultivation events; and open houses.
• Expanded donor appeals by segmented approach targeting lapsed, current, and prospective donors - tripling the appeal return.
• Partnered with the California Highway Patrol to bring the Every 15 Minutes Program to local high schools in Marin County, CA for an intensive two-day enactment illustrating the high - at times fatal - risks associated with drinking and driving. Managed therapeutic support for students and their families during this highly emotional program.
• Designed all marketing materials for the promotion of Ohlhoff's programs using: brochures, email blasts, newsletters, direct mail, special event materials, banners, and website redesign.
• Managed a grant writer, development coordinator, and various volunteers.
• Implemented and utilized eTapestry donor database.
