- Worked closely with 20 adults teaching them performance catamaran racing techniques over a summer.
- Was also responsible for procurement of replacement parts and boat maintenance for the catamaran fleet including sail repairs and fiberglassing
Senior Sailing Instructor

- Coached sailing for kids and adults from beginner summer camps to advanced racing tactic clinics
- Developed an updated curriculum with slide decks and lesson plans for all our sailing programs

- Skilled communicator - teaching for many years has made me adept at communicating in many styles, from the conciseness required to coordinate a team of 7 rapidly feeding each other information on a racing boat to presenting information clearly in land lessons and working one on one with students
- Ability to work well under pressure - being responsible for the safety of others from a young age has put me in many high pressure situations from unforecasted lighting and high wind squalls to rescuing sinking boats and caring for injured kids
- Information Presentation - I have proficiency in industry standard tools such as Photoshop Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro and Powerpoint and have used them to make logos, instructional and promotional videos, and slide decks used company wide for teaching
Hobbies and Interests
- Camping: everything from backpacking to kayak camping along the coast of BC
- Learning new software: Self taught the adobe suite mostly for fun, as well as taking a 3 month excel course and a python data analysis course
- Following the markets: Completed the Canadian Securities Course, and have managed a stock portfolio in thinkorswim paper trading since 2018 to learn more about the markets
- Sailing: Racing many types of sailboats from high performance catamarans to original wooden hulled boats from the 1930s. Placed 5th at the Cowes 6 meter world championships, Placed 12th at the star class North Americans, and competed in the national keelboat championship and national match racing championship for Queen’s University
- Athletics: shot-put and discus, ultimate, soccer, and both cross country and downhill skiing
