Daily duties include independent and team work on various projects; caterpillar tunnel and unheated greenhouse temperature management, including proper use of insulating row covering; harvest, wash, and pack daily produce for market, including diversified/salad greens, herbs, and late fall row crops; produce storage management; weekly packing and delivery to local restaurants; daily and weekly farm meetings; daily pastured hen chores, including feeding, barn cleaning, and egg collection, with associated record keeping; winter season bed prep, including application of compost, alfalfa, and silage tarps; operation of Kubota tractors and BCS equipment; lead on various tasks when required, including meetings, daily task organization, and daily farm tasks.

Design of a half-acre regenerative culinary farm to suit the farm-to-table mission held by the Minam River Lodge: bed prep, apple tree planting, weeding, cultivation, seed/tool ordering, wash/pack, and inventory management.
Scalable, intensive 2000 sq ft micro farm, and 600 sq ft climate-controlled greenhouse.
Cultivation of cut flowers, culinary herbs, fruit trees, and over 75 varieties of vegetables for the restaurant.
Implementation of rotational planting, pest prevention, and disease treatment measures, including spraying, dusting, and exclusion practices; cover cropping; composting; and management using regenerative practices.
Daily harvest, inventory, and wash/pack of produce for up to 45 guests daily.
Farm tours and education, collaboration with the Minam executive chef, including weekly meetings and on-farm tasting tours. Greenhouse: seedling cultivation, temperature management, crop rotations, pest and disease management. Full sun farm; bed preparation, nutrient amending, cultivation, weeding, dynamic interplanting, daily harvest-wash-pack and stock, regenerative no-till techniques, and supervision of staff volunteers on farm workdays.
Extensive on-farm guest interactions, including culinary farm tasting tours, farm education, and supplying gift baskets upon request.
Farm and greenhouse infrastructure upgrades, including carpentry, irrigation, supply management and ordering, and systems troubleshooting. Independent design and construction of new tool management upgrades, snap pea and raspberry trellis systems, irrigation including design of a new summer lettuce beds micro sprayer system, extensive T-Tape expansion, water mainline, and manifold upgrades. Custom retractable greenhouse shade cloth, propagation bench expansion, including seedling irrigation.
Due to unprecedented abundant productivity, the Minam farm supplied fresh produce to the local VA food outreach programs, as well as to aid in assistance to the Joseph, OR farmers market general fund.

Pruned, grafted, top-worked, and planted apple trees at on-site orchards, as well as full-season maintenance and foliar care of cider apple orchards in the towns of Carlotta and Fortuna. Construction of irrigation systems, including high- and low-pressure PVC/Drip Tape/extruded emitters, poly roll irrigation, Timers, and valves. Design and construction of Tall Spindle/Fruiting Wall cider apple trellis systems at the Lost Coast Brewery Headquarters. Operation of Kubota tractors, mowers, chain saws, and all related landscaping equipment.
