- Currently provide instruction across all courses within the entire carpentry curriculum.
- Currently working with Dr. Bill Rankin in the Teaching Innovator program. Exploring a project based carpentry program and AI usage for instructors.
- Current PD: Leading Beyond Any Title - a SAIT internal leadership course.
- Brightspace advocate and champion within the carpentry department.
- Developed and delivered mini SAIT carpentry courses which were adapted to the needs of the offenders at the Calgary Correctional Center.
- Delivered the first Dual-credit carpentry program at SAIT. Adapted 1st year carpentry content to fit the needs of high-school students.
- Visited high school shop classes as part of a program called Tailgate Trades which had a two-fold purpose: help equip shop teachers and provide students with more information on the trades.
- Worked with course designers to create the 3rd year carpentry blended online program.
- Implemented many new instructional techniques and classroom activities which have been gleaned from professional development, post secondary courses, and from other faculty.
- Peer leadership and mentorship to new and existing faculty as the department grows and improves.
- Lead and been part of many professional development efforts within the SoC.
- Co-chair of the SoC HSE committee and SAIT and fire warden.
