I am a graduate of the Business Communications program with honours at Brock University. During my spare time, you can find me bettering myself in any way that I can, whether it’s physically or mentally, I always want to get improve. I’ve worked at a variety of jobs, including working at Hillfield Strathallan College’s summer camp as a counsellor and my most recent position, that being an advisor at Best Buy for customers. These positions have led me to having great communication skills with a wide variety of ages and personalities. I have played soccer at a very high level for essentially my entire life, so I understand the importance of hard work ethic in order to achieve my goals. I am an extremely motivated person and my commitment and work ethic will not go unnoticed. I am a friendly sales advisor that is knowledgeable about various products and skilled at connecting customers with any solutions needed. I am also adept at listening to needs and conveying information to them in the easiest ways so that they understand. However at the same time, I can offer amazing sales and service expertise that will allow me to close the sales. In addition, I was compassionate and dedicated camp counsellor with a diverse youth activities background that allowed me to be organizational, have great time management and communications skills which lead to to positive outcomes for the job and everything going forward. I also gained knowledge from the trades industry that allowed me to be enthusiastic and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This allowed me to understand the importance in having a clear understanding of any task given and this gave me the knowledge of how tough some jobs really are for some people. Overall I am a motivated individual and excited for my next challenge ahead.

As the assistant manager at chatters hair salon I was tasked with a multitude of responsibilities to ensure the salon was operating and functioning at its best possible state. We have two areas to the store, the retail side and the salon side. For the retail side I needed to ensure we were properly stocked, inventory was accurate, promotions were being added and followed. Furthermore customer service and happiness is the heart of chatters so i needed to ensure all employees including myself were following the Chatters values and customer experience was top notch to ensure they are happy and will always want to come back. For the salon side I needed to ensure the right clients were booked with the right stylist, shift the client schedule around to ensure highest profit potential was possible and obviously ensure cleanliness was a high priority for all employees both retail and salon side. Below is a list that further illustrates my responsibilities at Chatters Hair Salon.

  • Processed payments for credit and debit cards and returned proper change for cash transactions.

Client Service Representative

In this role, I handled a number of accounts either through myself or through the various sales reps I worked with. I would have to email or call the clients to inform them of their previous artworks they submitted and approved with us and see if they wish to have changed for the next print run. If they wish to make changes, I would have touring up the client's account in our system inform the designers of the changes the client wishes to make and submit that. Once the designers has done what I requested of them I would review the artwork myself and ensure it was done to what I instructed. If it was okay I would then either email the artwork directly to the client or email the sales reps the artwork, who would then speak to the client themselves. I would then wait and see if client or rep approves it and if they do, I submit the artwork in our print system and instruct the print team the file is ready to be printed of if the client or sales rep did not approve it, I would put it back in our design system and instruct the designer to make further requested changes. This was primarily a virtual role, there wasn't any face to face with clients or reps, communication was done through email or phone.

Proforma Battlefield is promotional products supplier for companies and clients. I was tasked with handling a handful of the clients that have worked with the company for many years and their orders are either small or simply repeat orders. I would create then email proposals for them with the exact pricing for what they need and for the quantities they require, then have them review and tell me which options they would like to proceed with. I created orders with company logos printed on them that included awards with names, T-shirts, hoodies, bottles, you name it, Proforma supplied it. Sometimes I would have to pack and ship out the orders myself to add into the amazing experience that customers get when they open their orders, sometimes the vendors would ship directly to the clients themselves. No matter how the order was sent, providing quick, accurate and amazing customer service was the heart of this role.

I have been working at Best Buy since October 24th of 2018. I acquired a sales representative position and was placed in Home Solutions department, however at the beginning of 2021 I had been moved to Computer solutions department. I am tasked with assisting any customer in my department with buying of their TVs or computers. We are taught to ask customer lifestyle questions to ensure that whatever TV or computer we sell to them will be one that is a complete solution for them. That means when they get home with the products and they start to use it that they are incredibly happy with their purchase and know that their solution has been completed. Best Buy is pushing for customer experience more than anything. Over the years I have encountered and interacted with numerous amounts of people all varying in personalities, even some difficult ones, so this job has helped me immensely with dealing with people and giving the best customer experience I can.

  • In summary, I engaged with customers to effectively build rapport and lasting relationships.
  • I educated customers on promotions to enhance sales but mostly to ensure they have the complete solution.

    Over the years, the various jobs that I have been a part of, allowed me to become good with kids and people I have great communication skills, I can talk with anyone, even the most difficult customers, I’m very open and compassionate I have actually been awarded various leadership awards from the many sports teams I have been a part of, so I can be a leader I enjoy working hard, since I’ve played sports all my life and exercised for just as long, working hard is something I strive for so when I am committed to something I put my best foot forward I have such a desire to help others and meet new people and support them, no matter their needs I am willing to do more than what is asked of me to get things completed since I am very motivated to do great work so I will never disappoint I always approach things with an open mind especially new situations

Why do I love and value learning? Here are the biggest reasons, gaining knowledge simply for knowledge's sake, it is enjoyable to learn things; whether it is another job, another skill, another culture, it all interests me. Learning allows me to form connections with others, to also master new skills which is always a positive but most importantly, it boosts self-esteem.

Additional Information

I think if there is anything you should take from this resume is that I am a very easy going, friendly and adaptable person. I truly am just wanting to find my place in this world career wise and no matter where that ends up being I know I will fit in perfectly just simply due to my personality and how easy I am to get along with. However though, yes I am easy going but I am an incredibly hard worker and when I am told to do something my mind is focused solely on that until it is completed. I do not get distracted easily and can wouldn't allowed any workplace disruptions from stopping me from completing the task given.
