I'm an organized and dependable individual that is successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude and a willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. Most recently I have completed training in Heavy Equipment Operating with the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario. Prior to that I worked as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing setting where I managed the efficient completion of day-to-day quotas and trained new hires.
I have completed an apprenticeship training program with the Operating Engineers Training Institute of Ontario, a subsidiary of IUOE Local 793. During my time there I got seat time operating Excavators, Dozers, TLB's, Packers, Skids Steers and 0-8 Ton mobile cranes and boom trucks. My training helped me develop skillsets necessary to perform tasks such as trenching, sloping, grading, truck loading, backfilling and equipment maintenance as well as safe practices and good habits for operating heavy equipment on a jobsite. My time at Amico Affiliates afforded me the opportunity to work as a laborer in a civil construction setting which allowed me to see how a sewer and water job gets done from the ground perspective as opposed to just an operators perspective. My time at Exactra thrusted me into a position that gave me the chance to showcase my managerial and people skills through the training and oversight of all new hires over a course of 3 years. Most importantly it helped solidify my desire and commitment to being a patient but efficient team player that values safe practices.
I enjoy occasionally learning new songs on the guitar during my downtime. I find it to be a great way to engage the mind and body.
