  • Assisted building first of its kind facility making high quality asphalt binding material. Task during building of facility includes: installation of stainless steel tubing needed for air lines to solenoids & heat tracing line, installation of electrical pressure/temperature transmitters, installing & troubleshooting pumps and motors, working with vendors/contractors to ensure parts are either ordered or stocked in warehouse, writing procedures on all equipment in facility, performing audits to ensure all regulations are being followed and in compliance and miscellaneous housekeeping throughout plant/facility. Task after facility was placed into service included; using Human Machine Interface (HMI) to control pumps, valves, pressures etc., maintaining a working asphalt plant, coordinating inbound/outbound shipments of asphalt, crude oil and diluent, monitor all equipment for any abnormal running issues, scheduling preventive maintenance (creating work orders as needed if unable to repair), starting up/shutting down support systems i.e cooling systems, heaters etc., taking and testing asphalt samples, spinning cuts to determine water content of feed stock, testing gravity of crude oil, developing/updating operating procedures, creating log sheets and keeping daily, weekly and monthly logs, issuing work/hot work permits to contractors, experience using Dearman, Accuload, and Scully Loading systems.

  • Operating all production rod pumps, ESP wells (with VSD), and all water injection wells & troubleshooting any discrepancies. Overlooking facility to ensure proper oil, water, and gas separation. Monitoring levels on HMI (Human Machine Interface) making adjustments to all tanks/vessels in the facility (FWKOs, Clarifiers, Surge Tanks, Slime Basins, Receiving Tank, etc). Checking water quality to track wastewater, water treatment plant, optimize water injection and ensuring low oil in water ratios, good throughputs (no solids in water). Taking oil/water cuts, as well as getting pH readings from wells ensuring well does not have high acid readings before returning it to production. Shooting fluid levels on ESP, and making adjustments to well as need, to ensure well is producing proper amount of fluid over the pump. Monitoring well test and troubleshooting any low production test results. Working with all rigs, mechanics, and maintenance crews to help resolve all problems. The programs I use daily are; Microsoft office, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Work. Programs also used to input well data are; Shift Plan and Fodis. It is a major priority to keep great communication with supervisors, well surveillance team, engineers, and others involved in the task at hand.

  • Operation, monitoring and troubleshooting any problems of low production on pumping units, electric submersible pump, gas lifts, gas jacks, and other oil recovery methods. Watching over 6-10 different tank settings used for oil/water/gas separation. Inside each tank setting I would check over all air lines (needed for proper valve operation), monitoring all tanks on site (included storage tanks, pool separators, and test separators either automated, 3-faze, or 2-faze). Validating and imputing production and injection data, well testing, operation and maintenance of oilfield equipment and facilities, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment. Reporting spills and leaks, coordinating with contract service providers. The programs I used daily included: Lowis, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and WEB-PST (used for monitoring tank levels, production lost, pressures, and alarms).
