I gained solid foundation in laboratory techniques at Stanford's Jacobs-Wagner Lab, and found that I had a real passion for scientific research. At Genentech, I used my experience from Stanford and as an organic chemistry tutor to contribute to the development of a new peptide mapping instrument. I currently am deepening my research experience at San Jose State University, where I lead a team of other undergraduates studying a chaperone protein with the Arhar Lab. My goal is to translate my research experience into a career where I can have a real impact on people's health using my love for chemistry.
