Job overview
- Led and delivered 3 large scale and multiple small scale project's electrical designs for complex electrical systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards such as NEC, UL508A, NFPA79 and more depending on customer location.
- Participated in weekly meetings with the customers to discuss and finalize the project requirements and worked with them throughout the project until completion and SAT.
- Held multiple internal meetings with Electrical, Mechanical and Process Engineering team during the early product development phase to discuss and understand the feasibility of the design and to ensure project alignment on every level.
- Performed required engineering calculations and based on customer requirement, selected all components such as disconnect s/w, bus bars, fuses/breakers, transformers, VFD and servo drives, reactors, braking resistors, PLCs, remote I/Os, signaling devices, HMI/IPCs, Sensors etc.
- Communicated with multiple suppliers such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, B&R, Keyence, Baumer and many more to find the best components/systems that meets the application requirements.
- Utilized AutoCAD Electrical to produce detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts and BOMs, interconnection diagrams for remote cabinets, wiring schedule, cable harness and routing diagrams for panel Shop, production dept. and purchasing dept. in accordance with Macro standards.
