5 years of study at UBC Faculty of Forestry, Wood Products Processing program, with professional knowledge includes secondary wood products manufacturing, environmental facilities design, 2D and 3D computer-aided graphics, modelling for decision support, engineering economics, and so on. Currently, I'm helping Dr. Haibo Feng from UBC department of wood science to create some mass timber connectors, and learning the connector's application in large buildings.
Creating several scaled size mass timber connectors for demonstration, such as glulam column to glulam column, glulam column to CLT flooring, and column to the concrete foundation. I use a 3D printer to build the connectors instead of processing metal components.
Created a scaled size light-frame timber house model with wood and proper insulations to show the real framing construction.
