- As a Journeyman mechanic I am Skilled in setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC machinery and precision machine tools
- I also have the Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions on CNC equipment
- Performed preventive maintenance and repair on CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and automated production machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications
- Knowledge of CNC machine alignment, calibration, leveling, and precision adjustments
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, and tachometers
- Ability to maintain tight tolerances and perform dimensional inspections on machined components
- Experienced in replacing and repairing bearings, seals, couplings, belts, gears, motors, and drive systems
- Ability to perform onsite machining operations including milling, boring, drilling, grinding, and flange facing
- Knowledge of hydraulic and lubrication systems, coolant systems, and rotating equipment maintenance
- Experienced in troubleshooting servo drives, spindle systems, ball screws, and machine control systems
- Ability to manufacture or modify replacement parts when original components or specifications are unavailable
- Utilized technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and Job Material Lists (JML) to effectively guide repairs and ensure compliance with specifications
- Ability to plan and complete repairs independently with little to no supervision
- Experienced in using portable machine tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of shop mathematics, geometry, and handbook formulas for precision machining applications
- Ability to determine required materials, tools, and repair procedures for complex maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of OSHA and industrial safety standards including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in high-pressure production environments
- Experienced in equipment installation, machine alignment, and commissioning of industrial machinery
- Maintained accurate maintenance records, parts tracking, and repair documentation to support efficient operations and facilitate future maintenance activities
