
At 46 years of age I am a husband and a proud father of 3 children. My current residence is in Fort St John, BC. I have had a long and gratifying career in the oil and gas industry. My areas of expertise include scheduling maintenance of equipment, optimizing production, maintaining regulatory compliance, lowering lift costs, leadership roles, along with providing a safe and productive atmosphere. I am up to date on all OGC and ERCB regulation requirements. I have always been well respected by the people I work with and continue to excel in any situation. Improved plant efficiency by optimizing gas processing operations and performing regular equipment maintenance. Reduced downtime for critical gas plant systems by implementing proactive troubleshooting techniques. Ensured consistent production output by closely monitoring flow rates, pressures, and temperatures in the plant. Enhanced safety standards with thorough inspections of all equipment and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Longshore acquired Primavera Resources via merger in Aug 2020. Hired on with Longshore as a contract operator. Operate oil battery and field locations reporting to Field Foreman based out of Grande Prairie. Leadership role in full scale turn-around for oil battery and field wells in Sept 2020. Looked after OGC pipeline and facilities audit of BC assets working with Core Integrity to establish compliances throughout. Maintain good communication with Tourmaline on partnership wells, looked after E/I and maintenance scheduling PM's.
Provided expertise on old oil battery and field revamp. Worked on regulatory compliance to bring field and battery up to required levels. New well start ups and commissioning. De-activating old wells. Created compliance binder and log sheets. Created all Production Operations files and organized into Shared drive. Looked after invoicing and cost tracker. Assisted Field Ops with day to day issues. Operated oil battery reporting to Production Engineer based in Calgary.
Operate and maintain new montney gas wells with gathering system. Gathering system includes multiple compressors, dehys, inlets, condensate transfer and production water handling facility. Completed many inspections, commissioning and start up of new wells and facilities. Ensuring sites meet regulatory compliance. Lead Operator role from May 2017 to May 2018 entailed daily production reports, weekly management reports, invoicing and cost tracking, MOC/Workorder/Incident or UC screening, and assisting in day to day field/plant operational issues.
Maintain wells, equipment and process facilities. Inspect and sign off on well servicing jobs, facility construction turn overs, and plant turn-arounds. Training of new operators. Work with engineers to provide insight on process equipment capacity, efficiency, and provide recommendations for facility expansions. Work with engineers on Shut Down Keys to provide facilities with proper safety shut down management. Spent last 2 years as an optimization specialist.
Contracted to Compton Petroleum to maintain and optimize production and production facilities. Worked closely with engineers on infrastructure expansion due to aggressive drilling program. New well startup and commissioning. New facilities start up and commissioning. Birchcliff Energy purchased the Worsley light oil assets from Compton in 2007.
Sub-contracted through Total/Enerflex. Operated many different oil and gas fields for many different oil companies. Maintained and optimized field equipment, wells and facilities. Provided Calgary with production reports. Spent 2 years on safety committee.
Sub-contracted and operated sour oil and gas fields around the Grande Prairie area. Operated pressure truck testing BOP's on drilling rigs. Supervised pipeline maintenance crews contracted to Alliance Pipelines. Pipeline integrity.
Worked as a driller on seismic drilling rigs. Consisted of heli-portable and track rigs working all over Canada and the United States. Maintained, repaired equipment. Drilled seismic holes and loaded with dynamite for seismic exploration. Created and filed drilling logs. Supervised rig crews from 1997-1998.
