Recruits’ participants through regional information sessions and residential site staff referrals

• Provides onsite support and one-on-one mentorship to program participants.

• Gives referrals and outreach support to address participants’ individual needs.

• Provides foundational skills and pre-employment skills training.

• Coordinates and facilitates training sessions for internal and external trainers.

• Liaises with residential site staff to encourage ongoing support and recruitment.

• Encourages peer mentorship among participants.

• Conducts surveys and collects statistics with respect to participation, attendance, and milestones.

• Creates opportunities to celebrate milestones such as completion of training modules and placements in full-time, part-time or peer employment.

• Follows up with graduates and employers when placements have been made.

• Assists the Job Developer in duties by:

• Leveraging connections with employers to help find job placements.

• Assisting with grant development, when necessary

• Facilitating the Job Developer’s connection to LEEP participants through introductions and preparation of relevant information

• Collaborates with participant’s external service providers to collect collateral data to encourage a holistic approach to care.

• Collaborated with numerous Community agencies to provide individualized and flexible support to engage and integrate vulnerable and marginalized populations into the community.
• Facilitated clients access to resources and supports to maximize their independence and potential.
• In collaboration with the Housing First team, the peer support specialist uses their own lived experience to empower by using recovery orientated approaches with individuals and groups to help combat stigma, raise self esteem, and mastery, improve self concept, and instill hope.
• Provided ongoing case management support to assist clients to address barriers related to liveability issues.
• Assisted clients in conducting housing searches with a creative and realistic approach to the current housing market.
• Built relationships with local advocacy groups geared towards subsidy programs.
• Attended mandatory training sessions and completed online education courses.

• Provide support, supervision, and aid to distressed/disoriented/disabled adults.
• Accept referrals, identify and share information on a variety of Lookout or external resources.
• Referred guest to services, interviews, and provided with basic needs to ensure and safe and supportive environment for all.
• Completed required paperwork to do above, maintained statistical data.
• Responded to overdose crisis.
• Conducted several trainings of new staff.

• Specific Responsibilities:
• To ensure that all Excel Society's policies and procedures, standards set by program funding; the Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS), The Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act and Excel Society's Quality Standards are met.
• Ensure all Child and Youth Care Workers facilitate a Person Centered Plan or Individual Service Plan meeting for each client on his or her caseload.
• Responsible for ensuring all appropriate documentation is completed and submitted by CYCW as it pertains to their job description responsibilities.
• Facilitated client service team meetings monthly.
• Developed and implemented a sound system and process for all client funding renewals in conjunction with the financial assistant, ensuring all renewals information is completed accurately and on time.
• Provided direct client support for attending appointments, building relationships, outings in the community.
• Equipped CYCW's to safely support clients during crisis situations.
• Ensured that the community residences were clean, comfortable and professional at all times and meets the occupational health and safety standards and Excel Society's policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the delegation and training of CYCW's to complete client attendance records, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and other necessary documentation and tasks as identified.
• Follow identified supervisory expectations of the Emergency On-call system.
