Special projects/roles

  • TOES IN/TOES OUT, As a Cedar Sinai Staff RN, I participated in the development and implementation of the 'Toes In/Toes Out' project, which was started in 2007. The project focused on improving transfers, admissions, and discharges between units to decrease and improve patient's delay in care by developing a universal system for all nurses/staff members with their process of transferring/admitting/discharging patients. Implemented the test of change with 'Toes In/Toes Out' in the medical/surgical ICU and assisted throughout the other units of the hospital. I provided inservices within the medical/surgical ICU and continued to help with data collection over the next six months to see how the test of change progressed. 'Toes In/Toes Out' is now implemented and followed per policy house wide.
