For 12 years I was employed with DC Energy Services, starting as an experienced driver and progressing through to Branch Manager, then moving on to Sales, where I was laid off during this recent downturn. DC Energy Services gave me an opportunity to participate in many projects over the years helping me develop multiple new skills. They were an excellent company to work for and an invaluable component of my oilfield career path.

Operated many different types of truck & trailer combinations including winch tractors, bed trucks, larger bed trucks to support drilling rig equipment and multiple wheel combinations for heavy loads.

Supervised drivers, assistant operators & service personnel during location to location moves of rental equipment and fluid. This included chairing safety meetings and enforcement of all safety policies.

Was instrumental in designing central dispatch system within the company for all of Alberta. Participated in the functioning system as dispatcher which included customer relations, job planning and execution.

Contributed to safety program by building policies and procedures, becoming Driver Instructor and teaching General Oilfield Improvement (GODI), Heavy Oilfield Hauling, Swamper Safety Course and Defensive Driving of Light Duty oil patch vehicles.

Played a major role in upper management of company as branch manager. Duties included the day to day direction of all branch employees, liaison between branch and head office. Implementation of new procedures and policies as directed by upper management. Ensured efficient operation of dispatch and job execution of all employees. Conducted regular employee performance evaluations.

Represented DC as field sales representative, utilizing my multiple contacts to increase client list. Extensive networking to increase contacts and lead generation. Ensured customer satisfaction on all jobs and was responsible for resolving all customer concerns.

Operated log truck and loader, ensuring excellent communication with other employees to adhere to all safety policies.

Supervised field crew ensuring safety policies enforced and productivity maintained.

Sought out and negotiated the purchase of private wood for sale to BC.
