  • Managed the engineering and operations of a 17-pair commercial SAGD technology project and a 280 well delineation core hole project.
  • Delineation and SAGD project completions on time and under budget
  • Engineered & supervised the drilling/completion on a single pair SAGD pilot followed by a 175 well core hole program – both programs were completed on schedule and within 8% of the budgeted amount.
  • Developed and implemented an oil recovery system to capture the oil from the mud system after drilling. Costs recovered paid for the fluids bill on the drilling rig which was ~100K/well
  • Worked extensively with various service companies to improve directional, mud, and down hole packers and tools for high temp environments. Proved that mud coolers were not required with the right mud system.

Wellsite Consultant/Supervisor

  • WS supervisor coordinating operations on the Long Lake Pilot project and accountable for the SAGD drilling. Coordinated the operations for completions, well monitoring, well disposal, water source wells and a 75 well core hole program, The project was completed within budget and time constraints by executing the drilling plans as designed and managing company resources safely and effectively.
