  • Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC): Between 1987 - 1998, I was employed by DEC, first as the corporations Free Trade Manager (monitoring the corporations compliance with the Canada-US Trade Agreement). In 1989 I was invited to join the corporations Law Department as Senior Legal Counsel until DEC sold the company to Compaq Computer in 1998.
  • NAFTA: It was during my tenure as Senior Legal Counsel at DEC that I was nominated to the Chair of the International Trade Committee of ITAC, and asked to represent both the computer and telecommunications industries as their lead negotiator during the NAFTA negotiations.
