Versatile Red Seal Journeyman Millwright and Welder with safety and precision driven mentality to both overhaul and install machinery. Hard working team player focused on safety, leadership and attention to detail. Over 10 years of interpreting drawings and specifications to rebuild and install various types of equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, turbines, blowers, turbo expanders, and conveyor systems. For my whole career I have gone above and beyond to work as long and as often as it takes to get jobs completed as soon possible without cutting corners to ensure the customer's equipment is back up and running on time, the first time. Root cause failure analysis has become a large part of my role and being a natural problem solver has helped with this immensely. I often provide a fresh perspective on problems and often battle the "It's always worked this way" mentality with irrefutable and proven solutions. Working with the engineering team to come up with these solutions has proved to work very well time and time again. I also take great pride in teaching apprentices how to do jobs safely and effectively, helping them to learn the theory behind the equipment they are working on.

- Rebuild/install reciprocating and centrifugal pumps and compressors of various types - primarily Nuovo Pignone/Baker Hughes (General Electric) and Dresser Rand. Pump varieties range from verticle turbine pumps to DDHF multi stage centrifugal pumps, single stage centrifugal and diaphragm.
- Rebuild/install many varieties of gearboxes - primarily Lufkin, SEW Eurodrive, Falk, and Hansen. Gearbox varieties range from standard train style reducers to high speed increasers, right angle drives, cyclo and planetary.
- Rebuild and install a variety of different steam turbines - primarily Nuovo Pignone(Baker Hughes) and Dresser Rand(Siemens).
- Rebuild and install various types of roots and lobe blowers.
- Reconditioning packing cups, valves and seals by means of lapping, polishing and ensuring flatness with monochromatic light
- Perform root cause failure analysis on various types of equipment and provide solutions to improve performance and longevity
- Install and align motors and turbines using Pruftechnik laser alignment tool whenever possibly, dial alignments when necessary.
- Vibration analysis using fluke analyzer.
- Schenck level 2 balancing technician. Balanced rotors between 10 and 40,00lbs - high and low speed.
- Machining new or repairing used parts on horizontal and vertical lathes, standard mills(CNC and manual), boring mill, CNC waterjet and plasma
- CAD drafting of parts to be manufactured
- Level 2 certified NDT technician - LPI and MPI
- 3D scan equipment, parts and skids with Creaform Handyscan Elite and interpret data/produce drawings and reports using Creaform and Polyworks software.
- Weld/braze repair and manufacture materials of all types from mild/stainless steels to aluminum, bronze, inconel and other exotics.
- Fabricate and repair equipment of various types, from pulley cleaners to mounting skids, tooling, safety guards and all types of general fabrication.
- Operate overhead cranes, forklift and zoom boom to safely flip and maneuver equipment during the overhaul and install process.
