My work at Honda of Canada Manufacturing has always been in the Paint department. I was there for 31 years. My responsibilities ranged from mixing paint for the entire plant and ensuring the paint specifications (delivery, viscosity, appearance etc.) are within company set points. As well as maintaining the equipment in the paint mix operations rooms. Some of these tasks include checking for filter diffraction concerns, temperature spikes or loss of temperature and also control of inventory.
When I was working in the LASD area which stands for Liquid Applied Sound Deadener I was controlling the supply of the product though a large tote delivery system. This requires me to move totes with a forklift and various use of hand tools while keeping an eye on the computers to ensure all targets are being met.
This was an after school job for me. However I generally recieved close to 40 hours per work as I often worked on weekends and holidays. My responsibiliies included dispensing gas, doing daily checks and balancing the cash and charges at the end of the shift.
This was your typical pizza delivery job but the area that I delivered to was quite large. Sometimes 20-30km per way. Also prepare pizza and stocked the kitchen.
