Community Mobility Manager responsible for the management of Capital Improvement Projects, the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program, Complete Streets Programs, Active Transportation Programs, and all transportation planning studies related to new developments. Also responsible for the supervision of management-level engineers and planners.


Perform complex and sensitive planning work in advanced transportation planning, neighborhood-outreach and grant application preparation. Develop requests for proposals and manage consultant contracts associated with assigned planning and policy studies. Manage all issues pertaining to the City of Pasadena’s Mobility Planning Programs which includes all traffic mitigation and traffic calming issues.


Implement the Bicycle Transportation Action Plan and Pedestrian Program enhancements. Perform research and analysis of difficult planning problems and then develop and implement solutions. Perform field surveys to identify problems and discuss recommendations with other professionals. The preparation of transportation planning reports, including staff reports, and feasibility studies.


Provide assistance to the Transportation Advisory Commission, City Council, and neighborhood groups. Establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with community-based organizations and elected officials and Council Representatives, by addressing their concerns and developing programs that meet the specific needs of their communities.


Organize and conduct public informational meetings on transportation planning matters, represent the Department of Transportation in public meetings and in matters before various elected and appointed officials.


Confer with and advise engineers, attorneys, developers, and the public regarding traffic-calming strategies, pedestrian/bike issues, City General Plan policies, procedures, and processes.
