Dutiesandresponsibilities

Create project schedule with Project Manager, conduct updates at intervals as deemed necessary, advise all concerned of any slippage immediately, Takeoff estimates of major elements of the work to ensure building estimate of self supplied items is representative of bid quantities, Create site specific Safety Plan and Orientation for or in association with the Safety Officer, Maintain a daily log of project activities, safety compliance and required discipline measures, accurate account of relevant conversations and other communications between owners, consultants, authorities having jurisdiction, trades and other suppliers, Review worksite continuously to ensure safe work practices, Review worksite continuously to ensure workmanship is in accordance with project drawings and specifications, Conduct sub-trade meetings to document moment in time progress, challenges encountered or anticipated in short term, Ensure timely completion and documentation of issues reported by project consultants, 3rd party inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction, Ensure material, equipment and personnel are arranged to maintain proper workflow, ensure rental equipment is timely in arrival to site as well as return from rent to avoid unnecessary expenditures, Ensure self-performing labour is supervised to ensure safe work practices and optimum productivity, Develop a construction schedule with cash flow to meet owner’s mandatory completion and proforma as per Ontario Government funding guidelines, Oversee the scope development, tendering and procurement for all properties – Attend bid review and participate in trade recommendations for all scopes of work, Attend all Owner Consultant pre and construction weekly meetings, Interview and recommend supervisory staff for all projects, Chair weekly subtrade / consultant meetings, Chair 6:30 daily supervisor virtual meetings to ensure workforce and logistics were being properly aligned to best meet the overall project needs, RFI review to ensure; documents do not already address the issue, issue is properly formatted and comprehensible, SI CCN COR ensure change management documents are complete and dealt with in timely manner, Billing review and preliminary certification, Review daily logs to ensure site superintendents were tracking safety compliance, project trades activities and relevant notes of interactions between ownership, consultants and other authorities., I am comfortable and confident dealing with the presentation and communication of relevant topics with groups and audiences of 1 on 1 to several hundred people, typically chairing and moderating Owner Consultant and Sub-trade meetings of 20 - 30 individuals. These include preconstruction and progress partnering session presentations, to safety orientations, safety day, safety toolbox, topping off and educational activities and celebration of key events and milestones. Effective in dealing with conflict or discipline in a manner that does not exacerbate the situation unnecessarily.
