Forklift/ Loader Duties

• Safely operate forklift and/or loader to lift lower and move materials as required
• Transport pallets from one location to another within warehouse to ensure that all pick locations are properly stocked to support picking operations
• Inspect goods and/or pallets for damage or defects, report any issues to supervisors and follow established procedures for handling damaged or non-conforming items
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines for forklift operations including proper use of safety equipment
• Effectively communicate with warehouse supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel to coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient operations
• Ensure trailers are locked/secured and follow all safety protocols prior to loading trailers
• Conduct trailer inspection and communicate any discrepancies with management along with any recommendations
• Ensure loading area(s) are clear of obstacles,debris and hazards
• Arrange pallets in organized manner to facilitate and maximize space utilization
• Verify accuracy of goods to be loaded by comparing them against shipping documents or labels to ensure that correct items and quantities are ready for loading
• Load completed pallets onto assigned trailers and effectively communicate with supervisors and Shunter once completed
• Train and evaluate existing employees on forklift and/or loading and procedure

Warehouseman Duties

• Operate walkie rider pallet jack and /or low lift
• Understand items descriptions,quantities, and any special instructions set out
• Fulfill store orders by selecting appropriate items from inventory and packing them securely for shipment
• Being familiar with layout of warehouse to minimize travel time between pick locations
• Organize completed orders in designated staging areas for further processing
• maintain work areas clean and organize to promote a safe and efficient working environment, and ensure all warehouse personnel are following Health&Safety protocols
• Work efficiently to meet productivity goals and deadlines
• Coordinate with other warehouse personals, such as packers, shippers and superiors to ensure smooth order processing g and communicate any challenges or issues encountered during picking
• Consistently lifted materials weighing as much as 50 pounds
