  • For roughly the past Two and a Half years, I have been employed by the Town of Blackfalds in a Public Works role focusing on Heavy Equipment operation, including but not limited to maintenance of town roadways and infrastructure using various equipment
  • IE Tandem truck units fitted for seasonal snow clearing, Front end loaders, skidsteers, Graders, street sweepers as well as various other small powered equipment in varied settings and situations
  • Adapted quickly to changing project requirements or unexpected obstacles encountered during the course of work assignments.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, I have also been utilized in the office for administrative tasks related to the budding safety program at the town

  • During my time at Ledcor group, I was involved with a wide range of construction & maintenance activities while also taking on 3rd party contactor management

Education/training

Over the last number of years in my career, I have attended numerous industry training sessions regarding the safe operation, maintenance and light repair/fabrication of varied Heavy equipment through Caterpillar, Tenco systems and the National Asphalt Paving association. I have also been fortunate enough to attend Industry Leadership conferences and training through CLAC and the Alberta Construction Safety association focused on crew running, job planning and third party logistics management. While this training related heavily to Highway Construction and maintenance activities, I feel it translated seamlessly to other heavy industries such as yours.

Leadership Experience

In my career as a Heavy Equipment operator, I have had numerous opportunities to act in a leadership role for various activities and operations. From Paving and surface sealing operations to 3rd party contractor management, I have been able to consistently show positive results both for completion of project, but crew buy in and retention.
