Roles And Responsibilities

  • MARKETING/RISK DEPARTMENT/OPERATIONS - RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
  • Retail & Commercial :
  • Assist customer's in the account opening process
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of strategies necessary to acquire and sustain accounts in the retail sector of the market
  • Timely resolution of customer complaints and issues
  • Regularly contact customer's via telephone calls and physical marketing visits to obtain feedback on service quality and customer'satisfaction level
  • Identify customer needs and proactively seek to provide product/services to meet the identified needs
  • Initiate and carry out recovery action on non-performing credit facilities on assigned accounts
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of existing relationships/prospects
  • Management of assigned credit portfolio and monitor the quality of existing credit relationships on a continuous basis
  • Review applications for credit facility in line with the bank's policy and make appropriate recommendations/decisions
  • OPERATION DEPARTMENT
  • Assist with routine customer requests regarding account details, funds transfers, service charges, ATM usage, check verification by third parties, and confirmation of account numbers.
  • Research customer questions regarding electronic funds transfers and initiate resolution in dispute when appropriate, including the completion of necessary documents and affidavits
  • Cross-sell bank's products and services based on customer needs in accordance with the bank's program standards.
  • Relate customer request for service charge/rebates to head of customer'service/operations manager
  • Requisition and proper documentation of customer's cheque books.
  • Contact customer's to notify them that cheque orders and/or debit cards are ready for pick at the bank.
  • Monitor the bad address report and attempt to track down customer's and obtain updated information - KYC
  • Open, set timers and close the safe deposit vault utilizing dual control
  • Cash, cheques and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree and that accounts have sufficient funds
  • Receive cheques and cash for deposit verify amounts and check accuracy of deposit slips
  • Balance currency, coin and cheques in cash drawer at end of shift, calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators or adding machines
  • Inspect cheques for endorsements, verifying details such as dates, bank names, recipient identification, and document legality.
  • Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs
  • Detect imbalances in debit and credit transactions.
  • Participate in Board and other MANAGERIAL meetings
  • Prepare weekly/monthly activity and performance reports for Branch/Board of Directors' attention
  • Monthly preparation of CBN returns and end of the year Financial Account/Audit Report
