Opened a poutine eatery on a SCUBA diving oriented tropical island. Ran it successfully for 5 years, until tourism was decimated by the worldwide COVID‑19 pandemic. Purchasing, scheduling, marketing, and accounting were just some of my everyday duties. The most challenging aspect of the whole experience was learning to navigate the Thai laws concerning foreign owned businesses.

Managed the SCUBA diving operations of a major resort. Responsible for all aspects of a dive operation, from finding and scheduling instructors and divemasters to meet the demand for such professionals, taking into account their skill level, language spoken, and seasonal trends. As a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 122, began as an apprentice, eventually becoming a Journeyman Elevator Mechanic after 4 years work/education. As a member of the Arrest Processing Unit of the Edmonton Police Service, guided newly arrested detainees through the initial legal process. Searching/Controlling/Confining detainees in a safe and efficient manner, organizing and transporting detainees for Bail Hearings, and control of personal effects.

As a QL5-level Vehicle Technician, was responsible for the maintenance, service, and modernizations of all wheeled and tracked vehicles in the military inventory, including both wheeled and tracked vehicles, generators, chainsaws, and light over-snow vehicles.
