As an individual who likes new challenges, I strive to place myself in settings where I can absorb knowledge. I’ve been musically active from a very young age. I have played in different school ensembles as a student and by invitation. I have played and worked with SWC ensembles and Grossmont for many years. From Jazz bands, big bands, and Latin-Jazz bands. I have worked with musicians such as Derek Cannon, Kamau Kenyatta, Paul Seafort, and others. I’ve been part of the SWC, choir under the direction of Terry Russell for 10 years and have performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Notre Dame and others. I auditioned and received a scholarship to study Spanish music in Spain. There, I worked with Guitarist Miguel Gallardo del Rey in his master class workshop. I also worked with Juan Miguel in his flamenco workshop. I’m an active performer in the community, catering to different settings, instruments and styles.
